Together, our award-winning Trainee Driver Program has provided a new career opportunity to more than 25 talented, women drivers of all ages and backgrounds, who now have their HR or HC licence and successful transport careers at Hanson and Alex Fraser.

THE PROGRAM

You will be part of a four-week training course, blending classroom learning and practical, hands-on driving training.

During this time, you will learn in concrete agitators and tippers trucks (all automatics) supplied by both Hanson and Alex Fraser. What's more, you will have dedicated support from your trainer and the businesses during the program.

At the end of the program, you’ll take your licence test (and we’re sure you will pass).

Once licenced, you’ll start driving out of one of these possible locations:

  • Dandenong
  • Westall
  • Werribee
  • Melton
  • Port Melbourne
  • Collingwood
  • Epping
  • Wollert
  • Laverton North
  • Clarinda
  • Lang Lang
  • Lysterfield
  • Kilmore
  • Diggers Rest

WHO YOU ARE

ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible for an HR licence, you must:

  • have an Australian Driver's Licence for a minimum of 2 years (automatic or manual).
  • pass a pre-employment commercial driver medical which includes a drug test.
  • be able to meet the criteria for licencing, which includes signing a declaration about medical, interlock devices and outstanding fines and disqualifications.
  • be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including a booster).
  • be able to commence training on August 8, 2022.

To be eligible for an HC licence, you must:

  • have an Australian Heavy Rigid Licence for a minimum of 1 year (automatic or manual).
  • pass a pre-employment commercial driver medical which includes a drug test.
  • be able to meet the criteria for licencing, which includes signing a declaration about medical, interlock devices and outstanding fines and disqualifications.
  • be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including a booster).
  • be able to commence training on August 8, 2022.
