We now have an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced Commercial Manager to join our team in Lae, PNG, on a full-time basis.

This role comes with an attractive salary circa $225,000 – $240,000 (dependent on your skills and experience). You will also receive full expatriate support that includes:

Your Chance to Drive Papua New Guinea's Growth

In this role, you will oversee all commercial aspects of our estimating and commercial staff, including cost control, commercial budgeting, cash flow management and corporate reporting.

Core duties:

  • Ensure contractual and company requirements and policies are adhered to across our projects;
  • Support projects and tenders across our contracts;
  • Implement effective commercial and financial risk management procedures; and
  • Assist in the development and updating of our commercial operations.

You will also plan, develop and provide training on commercial procedures and processes and manage compliance through project audits.

What you will bring to the team

To thrive in this role, you will have qualifications in quantity surveying, construction management or similar, and extensive experience working as a Commercial Manager for significant building construction projects. 

You will have a high level of integrity and the ability to take ownership of your day-to-day work. Key to this role is your ability to identify mistakes and develop strategies to mitigate and rectify them.

Equally important are your strong leadership skills. In this role, you will have 6-8 direct reports; as such, you will mentor your team and lead by example. Moreover, you will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with various levels of our organisation.
