Founded in 1975, New Farm Deli has grown from a family-owned and operated business to become arguably Brisbane's best known continental delicatessen and cafe. Our loyal, regular customers know they will be able to find those hard-to-get ingredients whether is for a special dinner or a relaxing afternoon at nearby New Farm Park. Boasting an unrivalled variety of cured meats, cheeses, olives and other specialty items, we've become the go-to destination for 'Foodies' from all over Brisbane.
We are currently looking for our next 'Foodie' to join our welcoming deli team as a full-time or casual Deli Assistant. This role will see you serving in the deli and interacting with our knowledgeable clientele and providing them with expert advice to assist them in finding just the right ingredients to take their meals from great to WOW!

In this critical, customer facing role you will be the face of the delicatessen and will be interacting with our loyal, regular customers. By joining our large inviting team you will be welcomed into the family environment. We enjoy socialising together and bring that sense of team and enjoyment to our work each day.
In return we will reward you with a starting hourly rate of $27.91 plus super and penalty rates.

The ingredients you'll bring
With experience in fine foods, particularly cheese, cured meats and wine, you will also bring a bubbly, customer service focussed attitude to work with you each day.
As a 'Foodie' you will understand the importance of quality ingredients and how to make best use of them. With a thirst for experiencing new products and ingredients, this role would suit someone with commercial kitchen experience, however candidates with food service skills are also encouraged to apply.
While not essential, food safety knowledge and experience, will be well regarded.
