We seek an enthusiastic and dedicated Senior CNC Operator to join our team in Hornsby, NSW, in a full-time role. This critical role will see the successful candidate working across several teams and be responsible for setting daily and future production cycles and working with the production team to ensure client orders are filled to specification and within timeframes.

Building it best - how you will work within ARC

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager and working alongside our dedicated and experienced project and operations managers, in this role, you will be responsible for setting the production cycles, expectations and specifications for each production area of the plant. You will be required to carefully organise and coordinate the different production areas ensuring production is maintained at the highest production and quality levels.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Production of building systems for Facades
  • Liaising with other departments and ensuring the correct products are manufactured to meet the needs of our clients and their projects
  • Understand run sheets and production cycles and how these are translated into production schedules

Working with state-of-the-art machinery in our clean, modern workshop, you will effectively manage your small, established team to produce the products that will meet the needs of our clients.

The difference you will bring

Your previous experience will have developed an understanding of our materials and how they can be utilised to produce the unique product that enable our clients to create their eye-catching masterpieces. With experience operating & programming CNC machinery and turret and laser machines, you will ideally have a sheet metal background. While engineering or sheet metal qualifications will be highly regarded, they are not essential for this role.

Additionally, you will bring to the role:

  • The ability to work well under pressure;
  • An understanding of production scheduling and how to ensure the smooth flow of products from one area to the next.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; and
  • The ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships across the diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.

You will also bring an understanding of our materials we use and how they can be best utilised to meet the needs of our clients.
