What you'll do
Working with us you will provide quality education and care to 0 – 5 year old children that encourages love, laughter and learning. You can be assured that there will be two group leaders and one assistant in each room to ease the workload and ensure the highest possible quality of care is provided.
Some of your day-to-day duties will include (but will not be limited to):
- Providing Care: Ensuring a consistent, nurturing, caring, happy, secure, creative and active environment for all children;
- Continual Improvement: Working with other staff towards continuous improvement in all areas of operation; and
- Developing Relationships: Developing strong relationships with children and relationships that support and partner with families and the community.
What we need from you
There are multiple Childcare Educator positions on offer, one as a Room Leader (full-time) with the option of being a trainee (part-time) and one as an Assistant (full-time) with the option of being a trainee (part-time).
If you wish to apply for the Room Leader position you will require a Diploma in Early Childhood Education (unless you are applying as a trainee) in conjunction with demonstrated experience in a previous early childhood role.
If you are looking to take on the Assistant position then all you need is your Certificate III in Children's Services (unless you are applying as a trainee) and an interest and passion in pursuing a career in childcare.
The most imperative thing across both roles is the attributes you bring to our centre. You will demonstrate a deep care for the children and always be a positive co-worker who collaborates well with other staff and acts as a support network when required.
Just as important will be outstanding communication skills so you can work effectively with children, staff and families, and your passion for improvement and growth demonstrated by engaging in professional development opportunities provided by the centre.
Please note candidates living north of the river in Perth will be preferred due to the proximity to the Centre.
For these positions we also require a Working With Children Check (WWCC), a National Police Clearance and full vaccination against Covid-19.
