What you need to know about us

Boorndawan Willam Aboriginal Healing Service (BWAHS) provides various services and programs to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their families impacted by family violence. We are a developing organisation with a vision. This newly developed role will help us to achieve our strategic plans and continue to embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and community needs in our work. The position will add the data story to our work and help us to make data-informed decisions.

This position is four days per week and is based in Bayswater.

Your next opportunity

You will assess, develop and maintain the organisation's data management systems. Moreover, you will support our organisation by providing strategic guidance as to the data needs, trends and capacity of current and future systems.

Your day-to-day duties will fall within the various areas:

  • Data systems
  • Interpreting data
  • Managing risks
  • Training and development

Reporting to the Organisation Development Leader, you will ensure that our organisation's data analysis and knowledge management inform decision-making and that our systems are secure.

What you will bring to the team

Our ideal candidate will possess a relevant tertiary qualification in information management, data analytics, computer science or similar. You will ideally have demonstrated experience working in programming for data analysis. Previous experience with community services programs is preferred.

To thrive in this role, you will be a detail-oriented individual who can work to deadlines articulating and analysing the data of our organisation and the wider industry and communicate that story. 

Moreover, you will have the skills to effectively engage with team members to ensure that data input is correct and in line with compliance requirements.
