The opportunity:

The purpose of this role is to provide a high level of project management and delivery expertise to different stakeholders, ensuring smooth operations of our region's water and wastewater networks.

You will collaborate across the broader organisation and engage with external stakeholders to develop, refine and deliver key capital works projects and programs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support project planning, resolve design issues, coordinate documentation and undertake the tendering of work packages.
  • Drive the planning and delivery of projects.
  • Mentor junior Project Managers and the support team, cultivating their projects and contract management expertise.
  • Manage contracts with consultants and contractors.
  • Ensure risk and opportunity are understood and managed. 

You'll be great in this role because:

You will be a qualified Civil or Mechanical Engineer with previous experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects. Although not essential, previous experience in water infrastructure and management is highly regarded.

Crucial to your success:

  • The ability to manage project scope, resources, budgets and timelines.
  • Effective communication skills to build relationships and work alongside various stakeholders.
  • Be able to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
  • Mentor and support others, including more junior team members.
