The Central Land Council (CLC) is the Commonwealth Government's statutory authority for the southern half of the Northern Territory - covering an area of almost 770,000 square kilometres.

We consist of 90 elected Aboriginal representatives from the communities within CLC's nine regions and an additional 260 staff, approximately half of whom are Aboriginal.

We now have an exciting opportunity for an Information Services Officer (Information Assets) to join our team in Alice Springs, NT.

We value our information assets, and as a result, this crucial role will be responsible for providing high-level management of our Electronic Document and Records Management Systems (EDRMS).

Your next Opportunity

In this role, you will provide high-level Document and Record Management Systems (EDRMS) management. Overseeing records management services, including archiving, you will also manage the CLC's information assets, taxonomy, file and folder structure and metadata.

Core duties:

  • Refine, update, enhance and improve systems integrations for the EDRMS;
  • Information management project management;
  • Oversee system administration, maintenance and quality audits, i.e., data integrity, duplication, storage
  • Support Monitoring compliance with legislation and regulations; and

Administer the daily operation of the EDRMS, such as taxonomy requests, helpdesk, and troubleshooting. You will also monitor and maintain an awareness of emerging frameworks, policies and practices concerning EDRMS.

About You

To thrive in this role, you will possess tertiary qualifications in information, archives, knowledge management, or information systems or experience in a related field.

You will also be eligible for professional membership of the Records and Information Management Professionals Australasia (RIMPA) or Australia Society of Archivists (ASA).

With demonstrated experience in EDRMS management, you will bring a strong understanding of information governance and management and an understanding of the National Archives of Australia framework and policies.

Although not essential, candidates with previous experience with Micro Focus Content Manager (TRIM) and/or M365 (including teams) will be highly regarded.

You will also possess:

  • Strong analytical skills, adaptability, and flexibility to approach all relationships and projects with tact;
  • Demonstrable supervisory experience;
  • An unrestricted Australian driver’s licence + willingness to complete 4WD and 1st Aid course;
  • A valid OCHRE card or willingness to obtain; and
  • A passion for helping our communities thrive.

Candidates with previous experience working with Indigenous people or in remote communities will be well-placed to succeed in this position.

Who Are Central Land Council
