RCPA (Reinforced Concrete Pipes Australia Pty Ltd) is a privately owned manufacturer and supplier of stormwater pipes and associated products to the Australian market. Driven by the need to innovate products and processes, we have invested heavily in our facilities and have grown to be a leading supplier and a market leader.

Due to continued growth in the market, we seek a Maintenance Supervisor to join our hard-working and dedicated team based at our Pinkenba plant in Brisbane. This critical role is responsible for the management and maintenance of all machinery within the production facility. The Maintenance Supervisor will also be responsible for leading and directing the maintenance team.

About the Role

This role will focus on supporting the Maintenance Manager’s strategic long-term planning while also taking ownership of site and staff supervision (you will supervise a maintenance team of six). 

You will be overseeing a team of like-minded individuals who enjoy a mix of tenures - we have early career apprentices who are eager to learn the tricks of the trade, as well as established fitters who have been with RCPA for years and can guide you in your first few days. 

This role is hands-on, and operates on a 24/5 basis (predominantly on a day shift roster). 

Your day to day duties may include:

  • Plant and asset management
  • Ensuring safety, health and environmental standards are maintained.
  • Supervision of site maintenance team including contractors
  • Taking over floor supervision from Maintenance Manager
  • Maintenance planning and delegation of maintenance tasks

About You

This is a hands-on role, well suited to someone with maintenance supervisory experience within a manufacturing plant. 

We will also consider applicants with strong backgrounds as Fitters/Turners, with leadership experience in another capacity, who are ready to take the next step in their career. 

To be considered for this position, you must possess a trade qualification, such as:

  • Fitter & Turner (preferred) 
  • C8 or C7 trade qualified 

You will also have demonstrated leadership experience, a working knowledge of preventative maintenance systems, and experience using computerised maintenance systems. You will be familiar with delivering maintenance KPIs, and have high level knowledge and commitment to WHS and risk management.
