About Mallee Catchment Management Authority

Established in 1997 by the Victorian government, the Mallee Catchment Management Authority (CMA) region covers 3.9 million hectares – about one-fifth of Victoria. We are the largest catchment area in the state and run along the Murray River from Nyah to the South Australian border and south to the vast dry land cereal and wheat crops of the Wimmera.

Our primary responsibility is to ensure that natural resources in the region are managed in an integrated and ecologically sustainable way. We are the peak body for delivering natural resource programs in the Mallee. Our work is based on science and has meaningful partnerships with government agencies, local organisations such as Landcare, and community groups in the Victorian Mallee.

We now have an exciting new opportunity for a part-time HR Officer to join our dedicated team of experts in Mildura, VIC, on a 2-year fixed-term contract. This is a flexible part-time role at 0.8 FTE, allowing you to choose your hours and enjoy the ultimate work/life balance. 

Your next opportunity

Reporting to the Human Resources Coordinator, your key responsibility will be to provide Human Resources services across our organisation while ensuring they are in accordance with policy and operational requirements.

Your core duties will fall within the following categories:

  • Human Resources
  • Incident Management
  • Administrative Support

This role will give you the opportunity to leave your mark and contribute to the legacy of Mallee CMA! You will support the organisation’s continuous improvement and provide general administration support to the Chief Finance Officer, HR Coordinator and Committees.

What you will bring to the team

To thrive in this role, you will have prior experience in a Human Resources role as a generalist HR officer. You will also have a strong understanding of the relevant Industrial relations legislation and a high level administration background.
