Your Next Opportunity:

We have opportunities for General Practitioners (Doctors) to join our team across New Zealand, working full or part-time, with flexibility ranging from 0.5 to 1 FTE. As part of your job duties, you may have the chance to take part in telehealth placements.

You will deliver comprehensive primary care medical services to individuals, their families, and the broader community while finding great reward in prioritising patient well-being and delivering exceptional care that reflects professionalism, attentiveness, and compassion, leaving patients feeling genuinely cared for and satisfied.

In this role, you will work closely with our team to deliver timely clinical and culturally appropriate health services. This entails administering medical care and utilising your expertise to evaluate the urgency and severity of patients' concerns through history-taking, examination, and investigation.

What this will look like:

• Provide patient-centred, culturally appropriate, and individual holistic care to your patients.
• Offer and implement treatment options, including medication prescriptions, counselling, psychological interventions, and education delivery.
• Perform minor surgeries and other interventions as necessary
• Refer patients to diagnostic, therapeutic, and support services as required.

You’ll be great in this role because:

As the ideal candidate, you will be a current GP/Doctor with previous experience in family medicine or primary care. You should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with patients and colleagues. Your exceptional clinical skills will match your compassion and dedication to delivering healthcare services, prioritising patient well-being at the highest level.

Furthermore, you will possess the following attributes:

• Teamwork: collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide patient-centred care and improve outcomes.
• Resilient: able to maintain a positive and productive mindset in challenging situations, adapt to change, manage stress, and provide quality care to patients over the long term.
• Ethical: characterised by honesty and integrity, which includes prioritising patient well-being, respecting autonomy, and maintaining confidentiality.

As a GP, you should be committed to ongoing professional development and open to learning new skills, techniques, and technologies to improve patient care. Experience with telehealth is highly valued, given its increasing importance in the modern healthcare landscape.
