We are an ethics-approved research site with the aim of adding to the growing evidence base around endocannabinoid medicine, and using modern interactive technology to improve patient outcomes. 

Founded by Doctor Jamie Rickcord, Ananda Clinics is one of the first clinics in Australia dedicated full-time to endocannabinoid study and use. We have built a name for ourselves within the Medicinal Cannabis market in Australia and maintain an ethical reputation.

We now have a highly rewarding opportunity for a driven and experienced General Practitioner interested in learning about endocannabinoid use to join our Byron Bay clinic. This is an exciting opportunity for you to make a real difference in the lives of our patients while learning a new and emerging specialty.

About the Opportunity

You will be part of a dedicated and successful team that really makes a difference in the lives of their patients - most suffering from chronic ailments and diseases. Above all, this is your chance to be at the forefront of an emerging medicine in Australia.

You will join a clinic with three other doctors, including Dr Rickcord, who will act as lead and mentor. With our waiting list, you will never have to bring your own patients in, our nursing and reception support staff will take care of that for you, and book all your consultations. 

You can truly make this role your own, working anywhere from 20 hours a week to full-time, to fit in with your schedule! Work your own hours within this state-of-the-art clinic with brand-new consultation rooms and great colleagues. In the heart of Byron Bay, this office is part of a great precinct of shops, including restaurants, clothing, and even a swimming pool!

We are going through an exciting growth phase, and looking for another GP to come on board and take on patients. If you're a VR GP you will earn 65% of all your consultations, and if you're a non-VR GP, you'll earn 60% - approximately $400 per hour! You’ll also have opportunities to potentially lead an Ananda Clinic in the future.

As the General Practitioner, you will be looking to make a difference and help manage patients with issues like chronic pain and disease, mental health, migraines, insomnia and more. Working in an area of medicine where you can see the differences you’re making to someone’s life, and their quality of life is something you’re interested in pursuing as a speciality. You’ll be looking to take patient care off the back burner and make it the focus of your day.

You will have:

• Significant experience as a GP An AHPRA license
• VR (preferred)
• A passion to help make a lasting difference in patients' lives
