Welcome to the Big Rivers Region! Right on the doorstep of the magnificent Katherine Gorge in Nitmiluk National Park is the town of Katherine. Our most extensive service hub for the region is home to approximately 11,000 people and is the kind of stunning locale you can only find in the Northern Territory (NT).

Katherine is located 315km south of Darwin and is easily accessible by air and road all year round. A perfectly located town close enough to explore the surrounding region through gorges, waterfalls, thermal springs and ancient culture. The Cutta Cutta Caves Nature Park, Elsey National Park and Mataranka Hot Springs are all within easy reach of Katherine.

Why you’ll be a good fit:
