Our dedicated and passionate team has provided children with a safe and happy educational environment for over 14 years. Family-owned and operated centre, we are nestled in the lush and aesthetically pleasing bush setting in Research, catering to children from 6 weeks to 6 years old.

The Opportunity:
We have an exciting opportunity for an Early Childhood Educator to join our team full-time (38 hours a week) on a rotating roster with shifts between 7 am to 6:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
In this floating role, you will value inclusiveness as a positive role model to provide adequate supervision to all ages, reflecting our goals and philosophy. As such, you will be responsible for recording children's progress, openly communicating with them, and inspiring independent learning.
Assisting the Room Leader in meeting all children's needs, supervision, health and safety, you will work as part of a team and help create a supportive environment that represents the needs and interests of each child.
Responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with and support teaching staff at Little Scooters Early Learning Centre and Kindergarten.
- Foster relationships with families to work together to support children's development.
- Adhere to the Education and Care Services National Regulations, child protection regulations and service policies, goals and philosophy.
- Uphold the National Quality Framework and National Quality Standards in line with the service's philosophy, goals, policies and procedures.
Why the children want you:
As the ideal candidate, you will hold a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education, applications with a Diploma will also be accepted. Prior experience would be valuable; however, we truly cherish your passion for nurturing young minds and placing their well-being at the forefront.
Furthermore, you will have a Current Senior First Aid Certificate, Acceptance from Working with Children Check, Anaphylaxis and Asthma First aid and Child Protection training.
Creating a nurturing, warm and stimulating environment for young children will be your responsibility as you strive to connect with children. As such, you will possess the following attributes:
- Engaging: able to create a supportive and positive learning environment for young children that fosters growth.
- Hands-on approach: demonstrate a willingness to engage with children and provide individualised attention actively.
- Responsible: able to take ownership and follow through on the children's commitments and needs.
- Flexible: able to handle unexpected changes and obstacles calmly and efficiently.
