Are you an experienced concreter with leadership skills and a passion for delivering quality infrastructure? We are seeking a dedicated Team Leader – Concrete to coordinate and manage the delivery of infrastructure projects as part of our Council’s works program.

About the Role

As the Team Leader – Concrete, you will lead a team of Works Operators in the construction and maintenance of concrete infrastructure across the local government area. You will play a hands-on role in delivering projects, while fostering a high-performance team culture and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.

You will work closely with the Supervisor to plan projects, allocate resources, and ensure timely and budget-conscious delivery.

$1,294.18 – $1,488.31 per week + Super


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead construction and maintenance works on Council infrastructure, with a focus on concrete structures.
  • Supervise and mentor staff, promoting open communication and team development.
  • Operate and maintain plant and equipment safely and competently.
  • Manage project documentation, including WHS, QA, and environmental records.
  • Contribute to performance evaluations, budget planning, and project inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with Council’s WHS and environmental protocols.
  • Actively participate in physical labouring tasks and traffic control duties.
  • Act as first aid officer.

What We’re Looking For

  • Certificate III in Concreting or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in concrete construction and finishing, including falsework and formwork.
  • Strong background in civil works (roads, stormwater, kerb/gutter, footpaths).
  • Proven leadership experience and ability to build an inclusive, high-performing team.
  • SafeWork NSW accreditations in Traffic Control and Implement Traffic Control Plans.
  • Medium Rigid (MR) licence and General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
  • Training or certification in management or supervision (desirable).
  • A proactive approach to safety, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
