About the Opportunity
Geos Mining currently has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Coal Consultant to work from their office based in Milsons Point, on the north side of Sydney CBD.
In this role you will work within the Geos Mining team to perform the functions expected of a senior exploration geologist.
More specifically, some of your duties will include:
- Full program management of specific projects using the staff, management team support and all of the systems, equipment, intellectual property and computing resources available within Geos Mining
- Maintaining constant and close communication with Geos Mining’s clients, to ensure that the progress of your project and its outcomes are fully communicated to the client
- Contributing to the professional marketing efforts undertaken by Geos Mining and using your professional networks to bring new business into the company
- Supervising staff to plan, manage and report on exploration projects using all aspects of your experience in exploration planning, mapping and resource estimation
- Setting up field programs and supervising staff who undertake field work including drilling programs, data management, logistics and OH&S
- Developing your professional geology competence and using your skills in geological software for the preparation of JORC, NI 43-101 and other compliant reports for various stock exchanges
- Preparing and working to budgets
- Maintaining your professional independence and integrity at all times
There is a minimal requirement to work nationally, occasionally internationally, in the field which may include exploration sites and mine sites, both open pit and underground.
The successful candidate will be a team-player with a commitment to achieving results and be dedicated to maintaining the strong ethics of Geos Mining. You will be a responsible and cooperative individual who is eager to progress their career within the company.
You will also require a current manual driver's licence and the ability to drive a 4WD.
