The Neuro Practice is a healthcare facility offering specialised neurological care in Central and North Central Victoria, with our clinic in Eaglehawk, Bendigo. Rachael Cheesman started The Neuro Practice over two decades ago when a client asked for her help with Neuro Physio services. From there she has built a practice around caring for clients, providing services and equipping them with skills for a better quality of life.

Today The Neuro Practice has over 350 regular clients, and we are only growing.

We treat Infants, children and young people, adults, and elderly clients. Specialising in all neurological conditions including but not limited to:

  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Vestibular Conditions such as; Dizziness, Vertigo, Imbalance, Falls and Near Falls, Nausea and Vomiting, Anxiety and Depression
  • Acquired Brain Injury / Traumatic Brain Injury
  • Spinal Cord Injury
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Parkinson’s Disease
  • Stroke or Cerebro-Vascular Accident (CVA)
  • Gait, alignment or postural issues
  • Development delays in infants and children
  • Pain management

Due to an increase in referrals, we’re looking for new Physiotherapists to join us based out of our Eaglehawk, Bendigo clinic.

The Opportunity

When you join the Neuro Practice, you will be part of a team passionate about providing Physiotherapy services to people with neurological conditions, in a supportive and nurturing environment. This environment supports our clients and staff, and we provide a strong culture of training and development for the next generation of Neuro Physios.

We support our clients and each other to be able to deliver high-quality care that helps the whole client.

You will:

  • See clients in our offices, their homes, and community facilities
  • Work your own hours - part-time or full-time
  • Learn and train across different Neuro Physio practices and treatment methods - an opportunity to focus on your interests
  • Travel 1-2 days per week to visit clients in surrounding areas - maximum drive of 2 hours
  • Build relationships with clients who will come to you through referrals

You will be able to work full-time, or you can take on part-time hours around your schedule.

Part of your role will include receiving training and upskilling across different Neurological Physiotherapy practices and treatment methods. You will have the opportunity to learn from our staff and complete professional development in the specific aspects of Neuro Physio that interest you

You will travel to visit clients approximately one day per week, with the longest drive you can expect to do is two hours, and you will see your other clients in our Eaglehawk office.  Our operational hours are between 8:30-4:30 Monday to Friday, and overtime is not expected.

You will be joining a caring practice that believes in helping enrich the lives of our clients through Neurological Physiotherapy. 

About You

As our newest Physiotherapist, you will be an AHPRA-qualified Physio with an interest in Neurological Physiotherapy. You will be passionate about client care and really believe in helping improve your client's quality of life in a therapist/patient relationship.

Due to the experience of our team, we are willing and able to train passionate graduates with an interest in becoming Neuro Physiotherapists!

You will have:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s of Physiotherapy
  • AHPRA registration
  • High-level written and oral communication skills
  • Belief in patient care
  • Commitment to caring for patients

You will need an NDIS worker's screen, a national police check, and a working with children’s check (if interested in working with patients under 18). We can help you get these prior to commencing with us.

Please note: You will need a driver’s license, flu vaccination, and a minimum of 2 doses of the COVID vaccine.
