We are looking for an experienced Administration Assistant to join our Adelaide-based team full-time.

An administration role making a difference 

As our Administration Assistant, you will report to the Executive Director and will be responsible for providing a high level of administrative assistance at our headquarters in North Adelaide. You will be joining a small and agile team, serving a large national and international network. On an average day, you will proofread, deliver exceptional customer service via reception, and connect people to relevant referrals. 

This position connects LEA with Lutheran Education, the Church, and external stakeholders on a national and international level, and involves communicating with all these internal and external stakeholders.

More specifically, your key duties will include (but will not be limited to): 

  • Direct internal and external stakeholders to relevant information and resources, while maintaining positive relationships;
  • Respond promptly to enquiries, needs, concerns, and suggestions for improved service quality and provide any necessary documentation;
  • Advise LEA leadership on strategies, policies, and procedures;
  • Assist in preparing complex reports, presentations, and management papers;
  • Provide administrative support to the board, committees, and working groups; and 
  • ad hoc business administration tasks.

About you

Our new Administration Assistant will demonstrate a highly personable, proactive, and values-based approach, as well as extensive administrative experience.

We are a collaborative team, and when you join us you will bring a proactive and flexible approach, as well as a keen eye for detail to tackle the shifting priorities of each day.

This role includes communicating in person, over the phone, and via email, and as such you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

You will have:

  • Experience in office administration, including some Strong computer literacy and confidence particularly in the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience working in administration in a school or education setting
  • Align with and be comfortable enacting our values in all aspects of your work - you do not need to be Lutheran, but need to support our ethos
