The Opportunity
We are currently looking for a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) experienced in mechanics or avionics to join our team at Adelaide Airport, SA.
As part of our maintenance team, you will work alongside another LAME to provide routine maintenance as well as repairs and troubleshooting for QantasLink Dash 8, Q300 aircraft.
Our team works rostered shifts, and you will work 12-hour day and afternoon shifts on a lifestyle-friendly 4-on-4 off roster. You’ll be joining our young and passionate team who love to roll up their sleeves and get things done while having fun, and of course, maintaining high safety standards at all times.
As we work on regularly scheduled commercial flights, this is a fast-paced hands-on role, and you will thrive in this environment.
About You
To succeed as our newest LAME, you will be an experienced LAME with a Part 66 CASA License, in either mechanical or avionics specialties. You will thrive under pressure and love the challenge of troubleshooting problems on aircraft and repairing them.
You will have:
- Minimum 3+ years experience working on Dash 8 Q300, Q400, or similar aircraft types;
- CASA Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence;
- Highly skilled in aircraft system troubleshooting, repair and installation of mechanical components;
- Strong and collaborative team player with great communication skills;
- Strong time management;
- Passion for and understanding of the importance of safe work practices;
- Great record-keeping and reporting skills;
- Strong work ethic; and
- Ability to work unsupervised
You will also have a Red ASIC card, or the ability to obtain this prior to starting, and a current Australian Driver’s License.
