Your Next Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Church and Community Chaplain to join our Prince of Peace Church in Everton Hills, Brisbane.
As a Chaplain, you will play a crucial role in growing and leading the well-being of our church through connections between multi-generational groups and individuals found in our church, college, and community.
Reporting to our esteemed Pastor, this role will be divided into two core areas, namely:
- Youth and Adult Connector - Coordinate youth and young adult programs, and empower congregation members to support the well-being of young individuals
- Discipleship Groups and Events Connector - Lead and organise intergenerational connection groups that foster spiritual, emotional, and mental well-being
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Building strong interpersonal connections with volunteers and providing coaching and support
- Planning and organising social and networking events for retirees, parents, youth, and the wider community
- Networking with volunteers and community members
- Meeting with youth and other generations to provide guidance and support
- Engaging with the community through initiatives like the coffee cart community
- Organising mission trips to communities, promoting a multigenerational approach

As our new Chaplain, you will bring either fieldwork experience or formal training in Christian Ministry or Theology.
We're open to fresh graduates passionate about our cause and who have demonstrated this in previous roles and initiatives.
Candidates with no formal training but have transferrable skills from a similar role in schools or community organisations, are also welcome to apply!
You'll be joining a diverse community at our church, where your ability to build relationships with people from various backgrounds is essential. We seek someone with:

Your compensation will align with the SCHADS Award, approximately $90,000 annually.
