We now have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Assistant Production Manager to join our team in Mackay, QLD.
Your Next Opportunity
As our Assistant Production Manager, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of our manufacturing processes. Reporting directly to the Production Superintendent, you’ll provide technical assistance to the production team and oversee various responsibilities to ensure operational efficiencies and quality control.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Managing site production measurable systems and processes

Providing technical assistance to ensure production targets for sugar, molasses, bagasse, and electricity are achieved

Facilitating the development of technical and personal skills within the laboratory, factory, and washdown teams

Developing and managing site operational procedures, manuals, and guides

Analyzing production performance and identifying areas for improvement

Promoting a strong commitment to safety and environmental standards
What You’ll Bring to the Team
To qualify, you will need tertiary qualifications in Chemical Engineering, Applied Science, Sugar Technology, or other related fields. A minimum of 2 years of experience in the engineering, manufacturing, or production sector will also be essential.
Recent graduates (preferably in the engineering, manufacturing, or production sector) with at least 3 years of relevant industrial/manufacturing experience, are encouraged to apply!
Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:
- Demonstrated safety leadership skills
- Supervisory experience in a Production and/or Manufacturing environment
- Experience with environmental management systems and processes
- Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP
- Understanding of industrial operations software (SCADA)
