We are looking for multiple Pharmacists passionate about long-term healthcare to join our team on a Full-Time basis. You will work in a variety of care settings including:

  • Hospitals, providing inpatient clinical services
  • Aboriginal Health Services (town and remote clinics)
  • Dialysis Units
  • Aged care centres
  • Community pharmacy

The roles will involve rotations between our various sites in the Kimberley region: Broome, Derby, Fitzroy Crossing and Halls Creek. The exact details of the rotation (sites and duration) are negotiable. If you have a specific personal or professional interest in a particular clinical setting or town, or if you have specific rotation durations in mind, we can discuss them.

If, due to personal or family circumstances, you cannot rotate and need to be based in Broome permanently, get in touch and we can discuss.

This is your chance to explore a beautiful part of Western Australia and make a real difference in the lives of our patients!

What You’ll Enjoy

These roles come with an attractive salary of $120,000AUD (~$130,000NZD) PLUS 12% superannuation (Australia's KiwiSaver equivalent) plus a range of additional benefits.

  • Relocation assistance
  • Free, fully furnished accommodation.
  • Five weeks annual leave.
  • Flexible work and time-in-lieu arrangements
  • Work vehicles
  • Education and training allowance and support, including cultural safety training

Alongside the financial and other benefits we offer, this is an opportunity to advance and diversify your knowledge and experience, gaining unique pharmacy experience, including:

  • Delivering culturally safe pharmacy care for Aboriginal patients, families and communities;
  • Providing outreach and community-based services;
  • Supporting remote clinics through tele-pharmacy;
  • Clinical auditing and clinical reviews; and
  • Collaborating with other healthcare providers in the region.

About You

To thrive in these roles, you will be a degree-qualified New Zealand Pharmacist eligible for general (unrestricted) AHPRA registration (we will assist you in obtaining the registration).

Ideally you'll have an interest in Indigenous health (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and Māori).

You will be a strong problem-solver who knows when to adapt your approach for your patient. A strong communicator and collaborator, you can effectively build relationships with community members and healthcare providers throughout the region.

All of our pharmacists work within a multidisciplinary healthcare team, where they are usually the only pharmacists as the lead for a health service. To succeed in any of our roles, you will need to be able to make confident and autonomous decisions regarding patient care.

Success Awaits

Set yourself up for personal success by taking the road less travelled. Get out of the daily grind (and the daily commute!). Experience a truly unique part of the world. Grow as a person through your experiences. Make life-long friends.

Set yourself up for financial success by receiving a high salary and benefits. Your only expenses during your time with us will be personal expenses (e.g. food). You could easily save enough money after 2 years to put down a 20% deposit on a median-priced house in NZ.

Set yourself up for career success by making a smooth transition to AHPRA registration, gaining experience in the Australian pharmacy sector, working in unique care settings as a core part of multidisciplinary teams, and making a real difference in the lives of our patients.
