The Opportunity

We are looking for a full-time Finance Manager/Accountant based in Manila. 

This role is pivotal in establishing and leading the finance team, reporting to the Head of Operations, and ensuring financial processes, compliance, and strategic reporting align with the company's growth objectives.

More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Establishing and managing a small finance team, including recruitment, training, and mentoring
• Developing and implementing robust financial processes and controls
• Overseeing daily financial operations such as bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll
• Preparing and reviewing financial statements, budgets, and strategic financial reports
• Ensuring compliance with Australian financial regulations and standards
• Collaborating with external auditors, tax consultants, and other stakeholders
• Monitoring and managing cash flow to ensure financial stability
• Identifying and mitigating financial risks through effective processes
• Leveraging financial tools like Xero to streamline financial management
• Providing insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making
• Driving adherence to budgets and achieving financial targets.

About You

To qualify, you will need a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and CA or equivalent certification. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance management, with a proven track record of setting up financial systems and teams, will also be essential.

Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:

• Experience working with financial tools such as Xero
• Strong understanding of financial principles and regulations
• Familiarity with Australian financial practices and standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Experience working with international clients or companies
