About the Opportunity

CQID is looking for a full-time Finance Manager based in Central Queensland, QLD. You'll be reporting to the General Manager of Operations, this role focuses on developing a continuous improvement Financial Management Strategy to support CQID’s goals and operational standards. This role may require occasional travel within Queensland to meet with partners, oversee finance operations across different sites, and ensure compliance with organisational standards.

More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Preparing, monitoring, and reporting on budgets for funding agreements
• Managing supplier payments and ensuring staff wages are paid on time
• Overseeing compliance activities related to finance and audit processes
• Coordinating external audits and preparing annual financial statements
• Developing and optimising financial policies, procedures, and reports
• Supporting the finance team’s growth and providing expert financial advice
• Managing employment tax and salary packaging requirements
• Ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and Human Services Quality Standards

About You

To qualify, you will need tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Business or Finance, a minimum of five years of accounting experience, and a current C-Class Queensland Driver’s Licence. A valid Working with Children Check (Blue Card) is also essential.

Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:

• Strong working knowledge of accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, electronic banking, BAS, and payroll
• Proficient financial analysis and reporting skills
• Strong organisational and time management abilities
• Adaptability and flexibility to manage changing priorities effectively
• Ability to use computer-based accounting systems and Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently
