About the Opportunity
Student Horizons is seeking a full-time Overseas Group Tour Coordinator based in Caloundra (Moffat Beach), QLD.
In this role, you’ll be at the helm of orchestrating unique and educational journeys for students, including everything from match days with top-tier schools in England to exclusive coaching clinics with world-class athletes. Imagine booking visits to iconic landmarks like the Colosseum—this could be one of your tours!
Your primary responsibilities will encompass coordinating a diverse array of tours, such as Arts Tours across Europe, multi-sports Tours in New Zealand, and Music Tours in California. You’ll manage all facets of logistics for school group tours including accommodations, transport, meals, sightseeing activities, sports fixtures, and music exchanges. Additionally, you’ll liaise with our flight department to ensure seamless travel experiences for all participants.
As the key point of contact for clients, your role will be crucial in maintaining clear communication from the moment they sign up for a tour until their safe return. This pivotal position ensures that every journey is not just a trip, but a life-enhancing experience, making a lasting impact on young learners by broadening their horizons and deepening their cultural insights.

While experience in the travel industry is beneficial, it is your organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders that are essential. You will excel in budgeting, negotiating with suppliers, and securing the best services at competitive prices.
The ideal candidate will possess a genuine interest and demonstrated knowledge of the travel industry . You should be capable of managing multiple school trips simultaneously. Above all, you'll prioritise the safety of students and teachers, making it your top concern. You will be passionate about travel and committed to providing excellent customer service, ready to tackle the challenges that come with managing group travel.
