The Opportunity
We are looking for a full-time Offset Printer working full-time between the hours of 7am - 3pm based in Mackay, QLD.
This role is responsible for operating and maintaining A3 multicolour machines while ensuring the delivery of high-quality print jobs and maintaining a safe, organised production environment.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Operating and maintaining a Shinohara machine
- Preparing and checking jobs against proofs and/or samples as well as target densities prior to production
- Assisting with other production duties as needed to meet production deadlines
- Managing and setting priorities to meet job delivery deadlines
- Maintaining and recommending production standards, procedures, and guidelines
- Keeping the production floor and machine areas clean and organised
- Following safe work practices to prevent injuries and accidents
- Carrying out additional tasks as directed by management
What You Need
To be considered for this role, you will need strong organisational and time management skills, along with hands-on experience operating and maintaining printing machinery such as the Shinohara Press. A minimum of two years’ experience in the printing or production industry is essential.
We will also highly value candidates with the following skills and experience:
- Familiarity with additional machines, including 4-5 color printers
- Knowledge of production standards, procedures, and best practices
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet job delivery deadlines
- A keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to quality assurance
- Dedication to maintaining a clean, organised, and safe work environment
