About the Opportunity
Walhallow Aboriginal Corporation (WAC) is looking for two full-time Administration Officers based in Quirindi and Tamworth, NSW.
Reporting to the Practice Manager, these roles will be integral to the smooth operation of WAC’s healthcare services. The successful candidates will provide frontline administrative support, manage patient bookings, and ensure a welcoming and culturally sensitive environment.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Managing patient appointments, reception duties, and general inquiries

Supporting GPs, nurses, and Aboriginal Health Practitioners with administrative tasks

Maintaining patient records and ensuring confidentiality

Using clinical information systems to process bookings and records
-
Assisting with Medicare billing and claims processing
-
Providing administrative support to the Practice Manager and clinic staff
-
Ensuring compliance with healthcare policies and procedures
-
Delivering exceptional customer service to patients and stakeholders
About You
To be considered for this role, you will need:

A minimum of 2 years’ experience in administration, preferably in a medical or clinical setting

Cert III in Business Administration or a relevant qualification
-
Strong organisational and multitasking skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with patient management systems

Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
-
High-level attention to detail and confidentiality
-
Knowledge of local community services and cultural sensitivity is highly valued
