About the Opportunity

If you're a high-achieving, people-focused and outgoing Sales Consultant, My Holiday Centre has a number of exciting positions available in Broadbeach.

This is a fun, variety-packed, phone-based role in which it will be your responsibility to plan, book and sell holiday packages to clients that enquire to the company! Common destinations currently include Hawaii, Thailand, Fiji, Bali and throughout Queensland, but you'll customise each package to suit the requirements of each customer. You'll be provided with all of the training you need to become an expert in travel arrangements across the board!

More specifically, your duties will include (but not be limited to):

  • Receiving and responding to phone enquiries and email enquiries;
  • Discussing desired arrangements with clients;
  • Providing a desirable option with associated costs;
  • Detailing the arrangements via a written quote;
  • Checking Resort and Airline availability, and booking these arrangements; and
  • Receiving payment and managing the client's account.

My Holiday Centre is looking for sales / customer service superstars with fantastic customer service skills and confidence talking to clients on the phone. You will have a sales background that demonstrates your commitment to reaching and exceeding goals, and a positive "can do" attitude to your work. You'll bring first-rate problem solving and negotiation skills to the role, and will thrive in a flexible environment, where you'll be rostered to work a minimum of 38 hours/week. The office is open 7 days a week so weekend work will be required as part of this rotating roster.

It will be beneficial, though not essential, to have a background within the Travel & Tourism sector, or experience using reservations/travel booking programs such as the Galileo ticketing system. General computer literacy is required, and you'll demonstrate strong attention to detail. The ability to work effectively in a team is just as important as your need to work well autonomously. This is a role for a 'people person' who likes to have fun during their workday, while keeping focus on their targets!

The successful applicants will receive a highly attractive salary package above industry standards, with a base salary of $40,000 plus super plus incentives, giving the OTE $50,000 - $60,000.
