Step Into a Role with Real Trajectory

We are now seeking a full-time Branch Manager to lead our Port Moresby operations in Papua New Guinea.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity created by the upcoming retirement of the current Branch Manager, who has been part of the Atlas family for 12 years. Their decision to retire marks the end of a valued chapter, and the beginning of a new one for a leader ready to step in and make their mark. Like many at Atlas, the outgoing manager made PNG their long-term home, building a life and career with the organisation — a testament to the enduring appeal of both Atlas and the country.

This pivotal leadership role will see you overseeing a multifaceted branch that includes fabrication, reinforcing, roll-forming, fencing, and modular housing. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you’ll join a close-knit senior team and take full accountability for branch performance, staff leadership, customer satisfaction, and strategic growth.

What to Expect in Your First Weeks

Your onboarding will include a structured transition period, working closely alongside the outgoing Branch Manager to absorb key operational knowledge, team insight, and business priorities. This allows for a seamless handover and an opportunity to shape the branch with your own leadership style and vision.

Key responsibilities include:

• Taking ownership of day-to-day branch operations and performance outcomes
• Guiding multidisciplinary teams across manufacturing, construction, and supply
• Managing budgets and commercial targets with a focus on efficiency
• Ensuring quality delivery across both product and project timelines
• Building strong relationships with clients and key local stakeholders
• Driving staff development, operational safety, and long-term leadership planning

To qualify, you will need a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline, and 5–7 years of experience in operations or branch management, ideally within the steel, construction, or manufacturing sectors.
