About the Opportunity
Reporting to the General Manager and as part of the senior leadership team, the P&C Manager will lead HR strategy, operations, and culture across the organisation.
You’ll provide trusted advice to managers on all people matters — including complex HR issues, Enterprise Bargaining Agreement (EBA) negotiations, and compliance with the Fair Work Act and National Employment Standards (NES).
This role is both strategic and hands-on, supporting a diverse workforce spread across 32 remote homelands, while helping to build a respectful, inclusive, and high-performing workplace.
About You
You’re an experienced HR professional who’s proven yourself in challenging, remote, or cross-cultural environments
- Degree in Human Resources or a related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience
- Experience in creating or redefining HR framework, including policy and process, educating and influencing management, and ensuring a collaborative culture across the business.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, leading by example
- Proficiency in HR software and systems, with strong analytic and reporting capabilities
- In-depth knowledge of HR practices, employment law, and regulations in Australia
- A valid driver's licence
Desirable qualifications include:
- Experience working within an Aboriginal organisation or similar is highly valued
- Previous experience managing a HR team
- Experience using human resources management software such as ELMO
Additionally, the successful applicant will need to obtain:
- NT Ochre Card
- Satisfactory National Police Check clearance
