More Than a Store – A Home for the Agricultural Community

Since opening its doors in 2008, Farmers Warehouse has grown from a home-based start-up to a respected regional supplier of rural merchandise with thriving stores in Singleton and Dungog, plus a well-established online store.

Founded by James Ramm, who saw the need for quality rural products to be more accessible to regional customers, the business is built on strong relationships, expert advice, and dependable service.

At Farmers Warehouse, we support the backbone of our community — from seasoned farmers to weekend hobbyists — by supplying quality products and personalised advice. Our values are simple: hard work, humility, and pitching in wherever needed. Whether it’s a Saturday rush or a last-minute delivery, everyone steps up — including the Manager.

If you're looking to join a company that values community, teamwork, and getting the job done right, Farmers Warehouse might be your next home.

A Warehouse Role That’s More Than Just Lifting

We’re looking for a full-time Storeman to join our team in Singleton, NSW, to support essential warehousing operations that ensure farmers and clients receive the supplies they need.

This is more than just a warehouse job — it’s an opportunity to become a core part of a high-functioning logistics team that thrives on variety, teamwork, and a shared sense of purpose.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Receiving and unpacking deliveries and staging stock
  • Loading and unloading trucks with forklifts
  • Organising the warehouse and racking areas (think real-life Tetris!)
  • Participating in seed mixing during seasonal peaks
  • Supporting Saturday shifts on rotation (every 2nd or 3rd weekend)
  • Flipping pallets, moving stock and maintaining accurate paperwork
  • Interacting respectfully with customers during pickups and deliveries
  • Maintaining a tidy, safe, and efficient warehouse environment

The Skills and Spirit We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you’ll bring a strong work ethic, physical fitness, and a team-first attitude. You’ll also need:

  • A valid Australian driver’s licence and a reliable vehicle
  • Forklift licence
  • Confidence in lifting and moving 25kg loads repeatedly
  • Strong communication and basic literacy skills
  • Adaptability, initiative, and reliability in a busy environment
  • Willingness to work rotating Saturdays and occasional overtime

Bonus points for:

  • Truck licence
  • Experience in logistics, warehousing, or rural/agri supply
  • Familiarity with seed products or handling agricultural stock
  • A tidy and organised work approach

This role suits someone who enjoys being on their feet, thrives on variety, and appreciates a culture where everyone pitches in to get the job done — regardless of their title. Whether you're just starting out or looking to return to hands-on work, we care more about your attitude than your resume.

A Supportive Culture Where Everyone Pitches In

At Farmers Warehouse, it’s not about job titles — it’s about showing up for each other and doing quality work. Whether you’re loading pallets, helping a customer to their ute, or pitching in on a busy Saturday, everyone has a role to play.

Here’s what we offer:

  • Up to $33.95/Hr + overtime for weekends
  • 3-month casual trial with a pathway to permanent employment
  • Paid rotating Saturdays (every 2nd or 3rd weekend)
  • Staff discounts on rural products
  • A hardworking, values-driven team culture with strong local roots

About Farmers Warehouse

The online store was started in 2008, when James Ramm, while working at his Father’s store in Rutherford, NSW, saw the need for rural products to be available via the web, for a broader regional customer base. James acted on his hunch and branched out to start www.FarmersWarehouse.com.au from his home garage and office.

Fast forward a couple of years and www.FarmersWarehouse.com.au has expanded, to the most recent purpose built premises at 50 Magpie Street, Singleton NSW.

www.FarmersWarehouse.com.au is continually working towards offering a largest range of well known rural merchandise products at great prices, with back up and service you can rely on.
