About the Opportunity
As part of ongoing expansion, Supabarn has a number of exciting opportunities for experienced Supermarket Department Managers to join their teams in Canberra, across a range of departments.
More specifically, the roles are:
- Deli Department Manager
- Customer Service Manager

As the Deli Department Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of the deli, including maintaining a high level of customer service, stock levels, quality control and gross profit. You'll need significant experience working as a Retail Department Manager, perferably within a supermarket.
The Customer Service Manager will lead a team responsible for ensuring that all customers receive a high standard of service and courtesy when they visit your store. The successful candidate will have a strong demonstrated customer service background, preferably within a similar retail chain or supermarket environment.
For all roles, Supabarn is looking for energetic, cooperative and well presented applicants, with outstanding interpersonal skills, allowing you to communicate effectively with customers, staff and management. It will be vital you have the skills to train and supervise staff, and demonstrate the desire to take ownership of your position!
You'll be a leader in the workplace - able to quickly absorb knowledge and follow instructions, and prepared to act on your own initiative when appropriate. Through your ability to solve problems on your feet, you'll model a 'can do' attitude, and communicate that customer complaints are an opportunity, not a problem. You will be able to work to tight deadlines, physically fit to deal with active days on your feet, and computer literate.
In contrast to the largest supermarket chains, this role will offer you the opportunity to identify and roll out improvements to your Department or team's processes at your discretion.
