IPN's core business is General Practice management services. They support better medicine by running quality medical centres for independent General Practitioners. They guarantee GP's clinical independence and aim to facilitate the best possible health outcomes for patients.
About the Opportunity
Independent Practitioner Network has an exciting opportunity for a Business Manager (Medical Centres) to join their team, working across Brisbane. This is a full time position working Monday - Friday, with flexible hours.
Reporting to the State Manager, you'll be responsible for the management and overall operational and financial performance of your nominated medical centres. It'll be your job to ensure profitability and efficiency targets are met.
Some of your specific responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
- Working with Practice Managers to achieve optimum service quality while achieving cost and productivity targets;
- Working with Centre staff to implement IPN's systems, policies and procedures;
- Implementing budgeting, performance planning and associated activities for Centres with Practice Managers;
- Reviewing, analysing and reporting on Centre business plans to the State Manager monthly;
- Being the primary contact for IPN doctors, focusing on the terms of the business, issues management and growth initiatives;
- Monitoring and assisting with Centre staff recruitment, and providing Practice Managers with performance reviews, training and development; and
- Reporting all potential hazards immediately and adhering to OH&S policies and procedures.
If you're an experienced Practice Manager or a Manager of a small business, this could be the role for you! The successful applicant will ideally have experience working within a medical centre environment coupled with experience managing a team. Strong financial and budgetary knowledge is essential in this role.
IPN is looking for a proven leader, with the ability to guide, support and direct a team towards business goals. You'll be a team player with the willingness to participate in company initiatives and the ability to work collaboratively across teams to share ideas and deliver outcomes. Your ability to actively ensure health and safety in the workplace and to understand issues and propose effective solutions are also imperative.
In this role, you'll need the ability to work at different locations and flexible hours. As regional travel is required, a current driver's licence is essential.
