About the Opportunity

Due to continued growth, Treidlia Biovet is seeking an enthusiastic Microbiologist to join their team based near Blacktown, Sydney. This is a permanent full time role with an immediate start for the right person.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for providing microbiological guidance to the company's varied activities. This will involve production, quality and R&D aspects of Vaccine and Diagnostic work, with an emphasis on ensuring GMP guidelines and other regulatory requirements are met.

More specifically, some of your duties will include (but not be limited to):

  • Supervising Production and Diagnostic work;
  • Monitoring Quality, including sterility, stasis, water and environmental testing, raw material, intermediate and finished product testing and change control;
  • Checking the performance of autoclaves, clean rooms and other equipment as required;
  • Monitoring calibration programs;
  • Implementing corrective actions;
  • Assisting with auditing;
  • Updating and revising laboratory documentation and procedures, in line with regulatory needs; and
  • Staff training. 

To be considered, you'll need at minimum a degree in Microbiology (or a related discipline), along with demonstrated and relevant experience working within the Microbiology, GMP Pharmaceutical or Biologics fields.

In this role, experience in a broad range of microbiological testing including Bacteriology and ELISAs, and the ability to read, interpret and apply pharmacopoeia and other references is essential. Additionally, you'll require knowledge in aseptic techniques and clean room standards and knowledge in the Code of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).

Treidlia Biovet is seeking a self motivated and highly organised individual, with an excellent customer focus and great supervisory, leadership and reporting skills. Attention to detail skills will also be pivotal to your success.

In return for your hard work and dedication, you will enjoy an attractive remuneration circa $60,000 to $80,000.
