About the Opportunity

The Children's Medical Research Institute (CMRI) has a fantastic opportunity for a passionate National Marketing Campaign Manager (Jeans for Genes) to join their supportive team in Westmead, Sydney.

Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, you'll be developing and implementing fundraising and marketing strategies for Jeans for Genes in order to achieve budgeted income, costs and increased net margins.

More specifically, some of your key duties will include:

  • Creating and managing the budget in accordance with fundraising objectives;
  • Developing a 3 year strategic plan and managing the annual timeline;
  • Directing and developing new and innovative opportunities for business development;
  • Developing marketing & communications incl. brand management, creative development, direct & digital marketing, collateral & marketing research;
  • Managing the merchandise strategy, analysis and logistics;
  • Leveraging the Jeans for Genes brand to increase awareness & support of the organisation;
  • Managing the public relations, interviews and special ambassadors;
  • Undertaking project management incl. partnership and supplier management; and
  • Managing a team of staff and delegating responsibilities as needed.

This role calls for an enthusiastic and high energy individual who is eager to really make their mark with one of Australia's most iconic fundraising events!

To be successful you will have extensive experience in fundraising and/or marketing, with relevant tertiary qualifications in business, marketing, communications or equivalent. Ideally you'll have a background with not-for-profit organisations, though candidates with broad product marketing, marketing management or event management knowledge will also be highly regarded.

You'll need experience in strategy development, budget management, reporting and data analysis as well as a proven ability to meet KPIs and targets. Strong communication and project management experience is essential as are excellent time management and computing skills, specifically in the Microsoft suite and CRMs. Your ability to build relationships and develop a network within the NFP sector will be crucial as you utilise your skills in donor/customer acquisition and retention.

In addition, you will need to have effective leadership skills to enable you to manage a small team and delegate responsibilities as needed. A current driver's licence and the ability to obtain a clear police and criminal check is essential.
