OUR COMPANY
The Alex Fraser Group is engaged in two strategic activities: construction materials recycling and asphalt production and paving. We operate five facilities in Melbourne, two in Brisbane and employ around 260 people. The role is based at Epping in Melbourne.
OUR CULTURE
The work you do with us matters. Every day, you will play an important part in sustaining our environment. At Alex Fraser, we transform mountains of rubble into high-grade civil construction materials, recovering these precious resources and dramatically reducing the carbon footprint of major projects. Join us and do good work.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The new site at Epping operates a fixed concrete crushing plant and a mobile rock crushing plant. There are two leadership roles available on site.
Mobile Crushing Supervisor
Reporting to the Site Manager you will manage the daily organisation of the Kleeman mobile crushing plant. This plant is permanently located on site crushing field rock, so no travel is expected. Your equipment fleet comprises 1 large wheel loader and 2 x 40t excavators.
Site Leading Hand
Reporting to the site Supervisor you will manage the daily organisation of the site including the fixed concrete crushing plant, pugmill and laboratory. Your equipment fleet comprises 3 large wheel loaders, 1 x 40t excavator, a skid steer loader, EWP and a water truck.
In both roles we look to you to set high standards for safety, workmanship and customer service. You will be responsible for:
- Leading and motivating the team
- The efficient running of plant;
- Scheduling maintenance and managing contractors;
- Continuous production improvement; and
- Ensuring our customers have efficient turnaround times on site.
You must have leading hand or supervisor experience with rock or concrete crushing, production scheduling, maintenance planning and daily reporting. A Certificate IV in Extractive Industries Operations will be well regarded.
