About the Opportunity
Radio Communication Solutions has a number of exciting opportunities for field based Radio Communications Technicians based in the Bowen Basin (Mackay & Moranbah) region of Queensland. These positions will be working on a very attractive 7 days on, 7 days off roster.
Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for building, repairing, integrating and servicing technical components for VHF, UHF, HF, wireless LAN and satellite systems.
More specifically, your day-to-day duties will include (but not be limited to):
- Conducting field based repairs and installations;
- Providing phone based technical support to customers and other technicians;
- Installing radios into light, medium and heavy vehicles as well as fixed installations; and
- Programming subscriber equipment.
To be considered, you will have a Certificate III or IV in Electronics as well as strong knowledge, understanding and experience with electronics, in particular, with IP based networks.
RCS is looking for reliable and safety conscious technicians with exceptional customer service skills and a creative and analytical approach to solving problems. You will display a high attention to detail and will exercise good judgement allowing you manage you time and meet deadlines for completion of work.
It is essential that you have a current drivers licence and relevant OH&S accreditation to be considered for these positions.
