About the Opportunity
Sharp Tooling (Aust) Pty. Ltd. has an exciting full time opportunity for an experienced CNC Programmer to join its team in Wetherill Park.
In these roles, you will use your extensive background with Mazak Integrex CNC multitasking machines (Fusion or Matrix controls) to work with a large range of materials, from plastic through to all types of alloys. Much of the work is jobbing runs, so you'll be skilled in setting and operating the machines accurately and with limited calibration time.
More specifically, your duties will include:
- Interpreting and understanding drawings, specifications and programs;
- Demonstrated ability with CNC programming languages (Mazatrol would be highly advantageous);
- Time keeping of each job and adhering to procedures, rules and administrative requirements for the Workshop and Service Centre;
- Liaising with the Production Manager to continually improve programming processes and procedures to optimise overall efficiency;

- Adhering to quality and OHSE procedures.
To succeed in this role, you'll have an extensive history of First Class CNC experience, preferably including the use of Mazak machines.
You'll have a strong mechanical aptitude, highly developed skills in CNC turning and milling operations, and an eye for detail. Working in a small team environment, you'll need to be a self-motivated team player with well developed communication and organisational skills. It's vital you're able to work effectively without supervision, and have a commitment to delivering quality products to customers. You'll also have the flexibility to work outside of normal hours when required, often at short notice.
About the Benefits
The team enjoy working in a clean workshop, with modern machinery. You'll work short runs, ensuring a high level of variety in your work.
Your hard work and dedication will be rewarded with competitive rates circa $30 - $35 per hour (negotiable based on skills and experience), plus overtime rates of time and a half.
Sharp Tooling (Aust) Pty. Ltd. has a strong focus on its people, and you'll enjoy a range of benefits. This is a challenging and fast-paced role that will provide you with job security.
