About the Opportunity
Queensland Alumina Limited has a fantastic opportunity for a full time HV Electrician to join their team in Gladstone.
As part of the Primary Distribution High Voltage Team, you will be responsible for carrying out planned maintenance and breakdown repairs of a wide range of electrical equipment on 415kV, 3.3kV, 11kV, 33kV and 132kV systems.
You will also provide maintenance and breakdown repairs on ancillary equipment associated with a HV distributed network.
To be considered for this role, you will hold a current Queensland Electrical Fitter/Mechanical Licence, and national accreditation for HV switching. You'll have extensive experience in HV system operation and maintenance, specifically within heavy industry.
Using your proven expertise in diagnostic fault finding combined with your excellent problem solving skills, you will be able to carry out preventative maintenance and breakdown repair with ease.
It is essential that you have outstanding communication skills, and are able to work effectively within a small team environment, as well as autonomously.
