About the Organisation
The Victoria Daly Shire Council became an entity on the 1st July 2008 through the amalgamation of 8 Northern Territory Community Councils covering an area of 168,000sqkm an area, approximately twice the size of Tasmania. Council's aim is to strengthen its communities with local people delivering shire services to their own communities with the skills and knowledge of their own culture, community and people.

There's something for everybody in this part of the Territory. Whether it's climbing the escarpments, viewing rock art, catching fish, trekking through chasms, 4WD'ing experiences abound and there's the opportunity for a photograph in every corner.
