About the Opportunity

Currently Startec is seeking a highly motivated individual for the role of Technical Sales Representative to be based in either Edmonton or Grande Prairie, Alberta to join their Northern Alberta Team.

Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for presenting and selling company services and products to current and prospective clients. This will involve following up on new leads and referrals, and meeting sales goals and objectives assigned by the Sales Manager. 

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the execution of marketing plans of company as required;
  • Identifying sales prospects and contacting these and other accounts as assigned;
  • Preparing presentations, proposals and sales contracts;
  • Establishing and maintaining current client and potential client relationships;
  • Identifying and resolving client concerns;
  • Communicating new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff;
  • Attending training sessions to develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills.

Qualified candidates will have a technical and/or engineering background, or significant relevant experience. A willingness to travel will be essential. Prior sales experience and a strong customer service orientation would be highly desirable.
