About the Opportunity
WorkXtra has an exciting opportunity for a number of enthusiastic Physiotherapists (Aged Care) to join their teams in Brisbane and Melbourne. This role is being offered on a full time or part time basis with flexibility to determine your working hours.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing physiotherapy to aged care patients. In doing so, your goal will be to maximise the independence, mobility, physical wellbeing and comfort of patients.
More specifically, your duties will include (but will not be limited to):
- Regularly completing mobility and pain assessments;
- Establishing a physiotherapy care plan for patients;
- Conducting Wellness Programs for staff in Aged Care facilities;
- Providing physiotherapy treatments or rehabilitation sessions as required including strengthening programs and balance training groups;
- Providing physiotherapy pain management treatments as required in accordance with ACFI claims and increasing ACFI claims in accordance with clinical reasoning;
- Training staff on ACFI process and maximisation; and
- Conducting aged care manual handling training.
The successful candidates will hold tertiary qualifications as a Physiotherapist. Ideally, you'll have proven experience working in a community and/or aged care setting, with a collaborative approach that allows you work effectively in a diverse team environment. Physiotherapists from all stages of their career, including new graduates, are encouraged to apply.
A C Class Drivers licence and a reliable vehicle are essential to be considered for these positions.
