About the Opportunity
Flight Centre Active Travel has an excellent opportunity for a full time Product Manager with a passion for our speciality area: Active Travel.
In this diverse role, you'll be working closely with the Brand Leader to deliver on the product strategy goals through developing and growing long-term relationships with supplier partners to maximise the return to Flight Centre Active Travel.
More specifically, some of your responsibilities will include:
- Implementing the product strategy, including driving incentives, to ensure all sales revenue and income targets are achieved for a selection of preferred suppliers;
- Identifying new ways to increase product margin to drive business profitability;
- Growing the suite of products offered by Flight Centre Active Travel;
- Developing effective relationships with supplier representatives to ensure they add value through waivers, event attendance and/or sponsorships;
- Playing an active role in the greater FCL Air space, including relationship development activities and project participation;
- Organising conferences and events for internal and external stakeholders as required;
- Conducting training and development activities for new team members to ensure preferred supplier promotion; and
- Providing weekly business updates to the leadership team.
To be successful in this newly created position, you will have demonstrated experience in the travel industry with an understanding of airfares, as well as the ability to develop and implement strategic plans for managing and promoting preferred suppliers. You'll be results-focused, with outstanding customer service skills, strong product knowledge and commercial acumen.
You'll consider yourself innovative, creative and driven to achieve. As a professional and natural communicator, you'll also be able to use your interpersonal skills to network and establish productive relationships with partners, suppliers and internal stakeholders, and negotiate where necessary to secure the best deal possible. Additionally, you'll also have skills in training others in products and have the ability to effectively problem solve as required.
Computer literacy is an essential requirement of this role.

If you have the experience and the drive to excel in this role, you will be rewarded with a competitive, performance-driven remuneration package of $70,000 to $75,000.
