About the Organisation

Gallang Place is recognised as a well-established Indigenous organisation providing counselling services throughout South East Queensland.

In their 20 years of operation, they recognised the tremendous shortage of counsellors and experienced people with skills in the mental health and social, emotional and wellbeing fields. As a direct result of this, Gallang Education and Training (GET) commenced as a registered training organisation in 2012 with the vision of delivering VET accredited qualifications in mental health.

GET aims to improve this shortfall through the delivery of relevant industry focused training, offering a Diploma of Counselling as well as a Certificate IV in Mental Health.
