We conduct a wide variety of CT well intervention services, which requires working with hydrochloric and hydrofluoric acid as well as nitrogen. For the most part we conduct 12 hour shifts. Initially, the biggest challenge I faced was the mechanical aptitude needed to conduct day-to-day maintenance. I was not used to mechanical and hydraulic applications; however, with the support of more experienced operators, field supervisors and engineers, I learned very quickly.”

Schlumberger has a number of fantastic opportunities for Trainee Field Specialists to join their teams working at Oil & Gas Sites near Perth, Roma (QLD) and Chinchilla (QLD).

You'll have a large variety of responsibilities and your skill development pathway will vary based on the business' need.
More specifically, you'll be responsible for:
- Ensuring familiarity with the assigned business line's range of services and products (and their relationship to those of other business lines);
- Achieving functional and technical skills improvement as required for assignments; and
- Assisting in the planning, preparation and execution of jobs to design and client specifications with the goal of 100% service delivery.
To be successful in this role you will a minimum of a trade certificate in mechanical or electrical engineering along with an enthusiastic and resilient attitude. Importantly, you'll be a team player with proven leadership experience and exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
