About the Opportunities
We currently have opportunities for high performing, experienced Distribution Cable Jointers to join our expert team based in Auckland, New Zealand… is that you?
On a day-to-day basis you will primarily be responsible for carrying out repair and installation relating to LV, HV and EHV underground cables across the Auckland region. This will include providing prompt assistance in the repair of system faults, identifying electrical systems in preparation for work and maintaining plant, equipment and tools.
To be considered, you'll require relevant qualifications and demonstrated experience working with High Voltage cable jointing systems (from 33kV up to 110Kv); XLPE straight joints; terminations and cable jointing (22kV and above), and have an understanding of technical, regulatory and safety issues relating to the electricity supply industry. Hands on jointing experience (ideally 5-10 years’ experience) on a distribution network is essential, and you will need eligibility to obtain a New Zealand driver's licence.
To fit into the Electrix culture, you are a team player who is able to work within a team or unsupervised. Most of all you are passionate, have a 'can-do' attitude and take pride in ensuring excellence in your work. For your safety you will have a reasonable level of fitness.
