About the Opportunity
Häfele is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager to join their rapidly expanding organisation as part of the Brisbane team.
Reporting to the State Sales Manager, the primary purpose of this role will be to identify and develop relationships with new customers and maintain and strengthen existing relationships, while establishing a strategic business plan for the company's new products.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Developing a strategic business plan with the State and Product Managers;
- Providing training and technical information to assist in the planning, installation and operation of Häfele products;
- Making sales calls, with leads and appointments provided by your sales coordinator;
- Providing feedback of market intelligence to assist in the development of new products and markets; and
- Keeping abreast of industry trends, products and competitors.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in business development, preferably in the building or furniture related industries.
A trade background or knowledge of cabinet making/joinery is desirable, but this is definitely not essential. You will need to be able to understand technical aspects of Häfele's industry and products.
Häfele is looking for someone who is highly motivated, technically competent, able to perform both in a team and as an individual, and who has an ambitious outlook. Your excellent level of attention to detail is essential in this role, along with a pleasant and helpful manner and professional corporate image.
