About the Opportunity
Are you looking for a new challenge with a vibrant, supportive and growing company? Aerco Mount Isa has an exciting opportunity for an Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Mechanic / Technician to join their Mount Isa team.
The primary aim of this role will be to provide professional and technical services, with a focus on installation and breakdown servicing of air conditioning and refrigeration equipment, including diagnosis and repair.
Your day will be spent working on a combination of domestic air conditioners as well as commercial air-conditioning and refrigeration. This will also include evaporative cooling systems.
Some of your duties will include, but will not be limited to:
- Diagnosing faults or breakdowns of cooling systems;
- Answering various customer enquiries, from individual households to large companies;
- Coordinating requirements for all won tenders and completing contracts; and
- Servicing, repairs and installations of general refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
The successful candidate will have completed an air conditioning and refrigeration mechanic apprenticeship, including limited design, and will have some experience in the field post-apprenticeship. Dual electrical trade qualifications will be a definite advantage for this role. You will also have a restricted Electrical Licence and a Refrigerant Handling Licence, licensed in Queensland.
This position will suit applicants who can handle multiple tasks and work pro-actively and reactively. Mature applicants are encouraged to apply. You'll have the ability to think analytically and to source problems, find the appropriate solutions, and carry them out effectively. You will have strong communication skills and will be able to work both under minimal supervision and also as part of a small team.
