About Scalabrini Village
Scalabrini Village was founded in 1969 when the Scalabrini Fathers and a group of Sydney businessmen formed a committee to erect a retirement village for aged Italian migrants.
Almost 40 years later, Scalabrini Village has significantly expanded its aged care facilities with six villages across NSW, including five based in metropolitan Sydney, but remain primarily inspired by fundamental Christian ideals. The villages provide a full range of dedicated and compassionate care for more than 600 residents, providing a comfortable and homelike environment. About The Opportunity
Due to continued growth and development Scalabrini Village has an exciting opportunity for a Village Manager to work with their Allambie Heights team - a 75 bed combined high care/low care facility with 50 dedicated staff.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Village's services, to ensure the facility's operational strategies are put into practice.
Some of your specific responsibilities will include:
- Assisting and actively supporting your right-hand person, the Clinical Care Manager in their duty of care towards Scalabrini Village's residents;
- Actively monitoring the commercial realities and viability of Scalabrini Village with forward planning and direction;
- Complying with the Aged Care Act and Principles;
- Budget development and management;
- Effective resource/labour management and accountable employee management;
- Ensuring the health, safety and well-being of all employees; and
- Maintaining a continuous learning approach to understanding and how to action human resources, learning development and OH&S.
To be successful in this role, you will require a strong focus in leading teams and being able to harness employee skills and qualities.
You will also need a sound understanding of managing budgets, sound financial skills, as well as excellent planning, organisation and monitoring of environments and people.
In addition, Scalabrini Village is seeking a candidate with excellent negotiation, motivational and organisational abilities, plus a high level of competency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Management experience (preferably five years and upwards) in the aged care industry would be highly desirable.

You will be significantly rewarded for your dedication and strong work ethic with an attractive remuneration package circa $85,000 p.a. - however, a particularly gifted candidate could earn even more! In addition, you will be provided with generous salary sacrificing options as well as a bonus upon meeting Key Performance Measures.
