About the Opportunity
WatServ is currently seeking an experienced, full-time Dynamics AX Technical Administrator.
Providing support in the Pacific Time Zone, the ideal candidate will reside in either British Columbia or Washington State.
Reporting to the Technical Support Manager, you will be responsible for deploying, managing, maintaining and monitoring server environments, both virtual and physical, that support our Microsoft Business Solutions Dynamics AX, GP, NAV ERP applications and stack technologies, both internally and for customers.
Maintenance and management of these environments will be key to meeting Customer Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and expectations. This will include complete lifecycle management of support incidents - taking calls, managing tickets in our systems, coordinating resolution efforts with team members and communicating with customers.
In particular, you will be expected to define, refine and document the WatServ MBS application deployment strategies and standards, consult with WatServ Partners and Microsoft on specific customer opportunities, assist in the preparation and presentation of proposals and remain current on Microsoft's ERP and CRM technologies.
You will also be involved in managing the internal systems for the company, including email, demo sites, SharePoint sites and portals, etc. Some travel to the various data centers in the area may be required, however, most of your work will be done from our local office or home. There is opportunity for training as most of the technology used in the company will be leading edge.
To qualify, you must have demonstrated experience in the installation, implementation and support of the Microsoft Dynamics set of products (AX, NAV, GP).
Experience in the following is preferred:
- SharePoint 2010/2013 deployment and administration;
- Current Microsoft Server Operating Systems (installing, patching, monitoring, optimizing, etc.);
- Microsoft Active Directory design and implementation;
- SQL 2008/2012/2014 administration (backups, restores, service management, install, etc.);
- Current VMWare ESX/vSphere deployment and administration;
- Microsoft Hyper-V deployment and administration;
- Microsoft Terminal Services, Citrix XenApp deployment and administration;
- Installation and configuration of server hardware, vendor management for maintenance;
You will also need to demonstrate the ability to provide the timely, complete and accurate delivery of supporting documentation including, but not limited to:
- documenting support ticket resolution;
- trip reports for billable customer engagements;
- weekly timesheets;
- expense reports;
- systems documentation.
